Red Star Soccer Club is dedicated to the development of all soccer players of all ranges of ability who want to learn the game. The club’s philosophy is to enhance and increase the growth and development of each soccer player, and we begin by teaching very young players the necessary fundamentals. This will be done by selecting activities that allow everyone to participate. Training sessions are designed to motivate each player, and give them each the opportunity to be challenged and grow at their own ability. It is the ultimate goal of the club to unlock the game within each player and help them reach their full potential.
Red Star SC will involve technical training where tactical situations are created for players to understand appropriate actions. Individual tactics, small-sided games, and team tactics will be covered during the season. Small-sided games with varying restrictions are utilized to maximize the number of touches a player will receive during the training sessions. Full-sided games are used to bring the big picture into focus. From these examples, the club offers the opportunity for children to experience the sense of pride and accomplishment that comes from dedication and teamwork. The Red Star SC Program provides a challenging, positive environment in which development of the physical, intellectual, and psychological elements necessary for soccer excellence are maximized. Our reach for excellence includes teaching sportsmanship, commitment, and teamwork through our teams, coaches, and trainers.
Red Star Soccer Club was originally created in 2004 to serve the needs of all soccer players. We begin by teaching players the necessary fundamentals. The educational goals of our club are:
- to teach a high level of soccer skills and tactics
- to encourage our players to be the best they can be
- to foster a club atmosphere in which the good of the whole club is valued as well as the needs of the individual
- to offer the opportunity for children to experience the sense of pride and accomplishment that comes from dedication and teamwork
- to foster the development of physical, mental, social, and emotional fitness
RED STAR SOCCER CLUB is organized as a tax-exempt organization within the meaning of section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
